Aghios Leon is a picturesque mountain village on the South West coast of Zakynthos. The village is named after Saint Leon, Bishop of Catania in Sicily, whose icon is kept in the church of the same name which dates from the 14 century. The bay of Aghios Leon is very pretty and is dotted with fishing boats. The village itself has two churches, two schools and various shops.
